ABSTRACT
My presentation reviews the current landscape of wireless network monitoring in industry. I will outline the holes and issues with these approaches - from a technical and an economic perspective. An emerging approach to network monitoring which involves using smartphones as network probes is then introduced as critical element to solving the industry issues.
