Summary:
This presentation will explain current methods used to collect network data by groups such as cellular operators and how collecting crowd sourced network information from smartphones can be achieved. This research aims to show how the crowd sourced data from smartphones can be used alone or to augment existing data collection methods to help network operators know how to be more effective in regards to network planning, and ensuring an appropriate level of experience is perceived by the users of these networks.
