ABSTRACT:
With higher integration rates and minimization of circuits in telecommunications and radio astronomy, the demand increases for highly integrable, low cost, low foot print antennas. Patch antennas match such characteristics.
The seminar presents the design process of a dual polarized patch antenna, the considerations for the substrate, and the backing of the cavity with substrate integrated waveguide walls. The presentation concludes with an example for an array application of the single element antenna.
