In this seminar, I will introduce an ultra short pulse train generation using the Mode-Locked Fiber Lasers technique.
We investigate the theory of passive mode-locked fiber lasers, establish a mathematical model of nonlinear polarization rotation that governs the behavior of light traveling in the laser cavity. The Erbium-doped fiber and the fiber nonlinearities are also studied. The mode-locked fiber laser and its corresponding test platform are built. Preliminary measurements are conducted as well.
