Abstract: Fiber coupler sensors have been widely used in the field of substance content determination and temperature sensing. This seminar introduces a hydrogen sulfide gas sensor based on ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy made with a hollow core fiber coupler sensor. The hollow core fiber coupler sensor is fabricated using the principle of evanescent wave coupling based on solid core fiber and hollow core fiber. The core of the hollow core fiber coupler sensor can be filled with hydrogen sulfide gas to change the amount of ultraviolet light propagating through the fiber. The results were repeated after a series of experiments using different concentrations and different pressures of hydrogen sulfide gas. A special ceramic heater for fiber coupler is designed and used in the fabrication of hollow core fiber coupler sensor. In terms of service life and cost, it has a significant lead over similar products in the market. In addition, the quartz capillary-based packaging method protects the coupler from the surrounding environment and improves the sensor yield.
