Data Centre Services Team
Overview
Data Centre Services is a team of system administrators responsible for support of enterprise server and data centre infrastructure, including high performance computing for research. The team supports the computing needs of the university's administration, teaching & learning and research.
Responsibilities
The team is responsible for operational support and maintenance of:
- Windows and linux servers
- Enterprise storage and backups
- Virtualization platforms
- Email infrastructure
- A number of large high performance computing clusters for research
- Two large data centre facilities, including colocation services for academic and research clients
The team collaborates with peers at other universities and external agencies in support of large inter-institutional research initiatives.
