Tracking and resolution of problems
If you are experiencing issues with your computer, visit the Computer Help Desk's Clearihue C143 location, open Monday-Friday 9 am to 4 pm. The consultants can check your device in for servicing and transfer it to the Technicians. Your request will be recorded and tracked in the Help Desk Online Management and Event Recording System (HOMER). Please be aware that we cannot guarantee your computer will be repaired by a specific date. You will be notified when your computer is ready for pickup at the Computer Help Desk.
The cost of repairs will include the cost of any parts required plus a service fee. Service fees are a minimum of $25 to a maximum of $100. You will be advised of the actual service fee before a repair is undertaken, and when possible, you will be informed of the cost of the repair parts required to fix your equipment.
Technicians often can repair other equipment beyond that listed above. If, however, technicians cannot repair your particular equipment, they can arrange for the work to be done by a commercial repair firm. The cost of such repairs will depend upon the rates charged by the commercial company.
The technicians work during normal business hours, usually Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
The Computer Help Desk is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
