VPFO departments
The office of the vice-president finance and operations oversees the financial, human and physical resources of the university. The following departments report directly to the VPFO:
Campus Security
Campus Security promotes a safe and welcoming environment at UVic by providing security services, parking and transportation services and motor pool services.
Facilities Management
Facilities Management is responsible for the maintanance of university buildings, grounds, and infrastructure, ensuring that spaces are conducive to learning.
Financial Planning and Operations
The Financial Planning and Operations department is responsible for the overall planning and coordination of the university's budget and budget planning process.
Financial Services
The Financial Services portfolio is responsible for Research Accounting, Payments and Banking, Payroll and Purchasing.
General Counsel
The office of the General Counsel is responsible for managing the legal affairs of the university.
Human Resources
Human Resources provides services to prospective and current employees with issues regarding career opportunities, policies, benefits and professional development.
Internal Audit
Internal audit is an independent appraisal activity within the university for the review of operations as a service to the institution and to its management.
