Create an all-day event: Outlook 2010

An all-day event is an activity that lasts 24 hours or longer. Examples of such an event could include a conference, seminar, or vacation. Usually an event occurs once and can last for one or several days. Events do not occupy blocks of time in your calendar. Instead, they appear at the top as banners.

  1. Open your Outlook calendar and double click on the top of the desired day of the event.

  2. The All day event box will automatically be checked. You can adjust the start and end times if necessary to reflect an event that is longer than 24 hours. Enter a Subject and Location as you would for other appointments or meeting requests.



  3. Click Save & Close. An all-day event has now been created in your calendar.
