Thinking about the MCAT?

As of 2015, the Medical College Admission Test will include new material such as:

  • Addition of a social and behavioral sciences section, Psychological, Social and Biological Foundations of Behavior, recognizing the importance of socio-cultural and behavioral determinants of health and health outcomes
  • Addition of a new Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills section, reflecting that medical schools want well-rounded applicants from numerous backgrounds

Students entering university this year and who plan on applying to medical school in 2016 will benefit from our introduction to sociology courses as well as our many electives in the sociology of health, illness, and aging.
