Launch of the Local Governance Hub Website & Call for Contributions

We are pleased to announce the launch of the new Local Governance Hub website: https://onlineacademiccommunity.uvic.ca/lghub/ .

The Local Governance Hub brings together researchers, students, practitioners, and community partners to explore how local and regional governance shapes the well-being of communities. Serving as a collaborative platform, the Hub is dedicated to studying and strengthening the practices, institutions, and innovations that guide decision-making closest to people’s lives. 

Call for Student Contributions – Policy Brief Series
We invite student contributions to the Local Governance Hub Policy Brief Series. This series provides concise, applied, and accessible insights on pressing issues in local and regional governance. Contributions offer students a valuable opportunity to:

  • Share policy-relevant research with a broader audience
  • Translate academic findings into accessible analysis
  • Contribute to ongoing debates in governance and public policy

We encourage students at all levels to consider submitting to the series. Details on how to contribute can be found on our website.
