Dr. Daniel Rondeau and co-authors win the 2022 Publication of Enduring Quality Award from the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society (CAES)
Dr. Daniel Rondeau and his co-authors (Maurice Doyon Laval University and Christian Vossler, University of Tennessee) win the 2022 Publication of Enduring Quality Award of the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society (CAES) for their paper "Truth in consequentiality: theory and field evidence on discrete choice experiments". American Economic Journals: Microeconomics 4(4):145-171 (2012). The paper formalizes the theoretical requirements for the truthful revelation of environmental benefits through valuation surveys and demonstrates their importance in a field experiment that resulted in the planting of several hundred threes in Quebec. The paper has been cited more than 400 times so far.
The CAES states: "This prestigious award recognizes books, articles within books, or journal articles that are at least ten years old and have had a significant impact on agricultural, food, and resource economics."
