Warm welcome to our newest faculty member, Ke Xu

The Economics Department is very pleased to welcome Ke Xu, who joins us this summer as an Assistant Professor. Ke is completing her PhD from Queen’s University where she has held a SSHRC CGS Doctoral Scholarship.

Her research is in financial economics, specifically the structure of financial markets. Her dissertation focused on the role of high frequency traders and the effects they have on financial markets. She also has publications in applied financial econometrics.

Ke is going to be a wonderful asset to the department, broadening our research focus and teaching in our financial economics stream. Please join us in welcoming her and her family to Victoria.
