SOS Charity Rider Successfully Completes his Journey across Canada

Update: Aug. 14, 2013 - Anas Cheema completed his cycling trip for charity.

Update: July 15, 2013 - Anas Cheema has a new bike and is on the road again, continuing his cross-country fundraising trip.

July 11, 2013 - UVic Economics student, Anas Cheema is cycling across Canada this summer, fundraising for SOS Children's Villages. During his stop in Winnipeg, Anas' bike was stolen. Read the CTV story and check his progress on his website.

Anas is president of the UVic International Student Association, a student group he formed to provide a welcoming place for all international and exchange students on campus. Dr. Merwan Engineer, professor and undergraduate adviser, has recently recommended Anas for the McGraw-Hill Ryerson Student Scholarship Award for his outstanding contributions to student life.
