Andrea Thibodeau is the Indigenous Student Support Coordinator. Her role supports new and current undergraduate and graduate students connecting with academic, cultural, emotional supports, emergency bursaries, band funding, connections to supports on and off campus, and housing.

Candice Cook is the LE,NOṈET First Year Coordinator within the Office of Indigenous Academic and Community Engagement. Candice develops and offer services, programs and one-on-one support for first year undergraduate Indigenous students who are new to post-secondary.

Izzy Ward is the LE,NOṈET First Year STEM Coordinator within the Office of Indigenous Academic and Community Engagement. Her role develops student engagement opportunities and provide ongoing support for first year Indigenous students in STEM programs.

Academic advising

Indigenous students in the Faculties of Science, Humanities and Social Sciences can contact the Indigenous Student Support Coordinator for more support. Some faculties, such as Education, offer their own advising and support services to Indigenous students. Be sure to check in with your faculty to find out about any services that may be of help to you. 

Tutoring

Indigenous students can access online tutoring in the areas of academic writing and math and stats assistance. Please contact the Indigenous Student Support Coordinator for more information.

Faculty-specific supports

Some faculties offer specific supports for students enrolled in their programs.

The Faculty of Law offers a number of academic programs and services for Indigenous students.
