Admission requirements
To be eligible for admission, candidates must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), complete the necessary prerequisite courses and either have:
- a minimum overall “B+” average (76% on the UBC scale) in the last two years of their degree or
- at least 6.0 units (12.0 UBC credits) of third- or fourth-year courses in the "A" range (80% or higher at UBC) and in the field of study.
- Meet with and/or observe at least one audiologist AND one speech pathologist at work.

Additional preparation
Further psychology courses including cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, psycholinguistics, adulthood and aging, and counselling are recommended. Further courses in linguistics including speech science, semantics, syntax, morphology, discourse, and sociolinguistics are also recommended.
