CPA Professional Education Program

Admission requirements

To be eligible for the program, candidates must complete a 60-unit UVic degree or 120-credit Canadian (or approved non-Canadian) university degree in any discipline, complete sufficient coursework to satisfy all subject areas identified below and have:

  • a minimum overall average of 65% in specific subject area coverage, and
  • at least 60% in each UVic course used to satisfy the subject areas.

Note that students missing the appropriate coursework for a particular prerequistie can also satisfy the requirement through the completion of the matching CPA preparatory course.  See the Course Coverage for CPA Programs information sheet for more information on prerequisite coursework.

Note 1: Most of the 300-level COM courses listed are reserved for students in UVic's Bachelor of Commerce program and are not available through Request for Registration.

Note 2: Course coverage of Intermediate and Advanced Financial Reporting, as well as Audit and Assurance, is not currently available through the University of Victoria, but can be obtained through the CPA preparatory courses or another post-secondary institution.
