About the talk:

Based on reflexive approaches and investigations with regard to three key Taiwanese Indigenous documentary filmmakers – Mayaw Biho (Pangcah), Pilin Yapu (Atayal) and Chang Shu-Lan (Tao) - this presentation focuses on how they reframe Indigenous knowledge and challenge settler colonial ways of seeing and representing through filmmaking and their social engagements.
