COVID-19 ONECard Information
Due to COVID, we have transitioned to an appointment-based service:
- If you’re new to UVic, please submit your selfie online
- if you’ve had a ONECard in the past, you’ll need to book an appointment to get a new one
- If you don’t have a Netlink ID, email onecard@uvic.ca to set up an appointment
Masks are now required for everyone in all public indoor settings and workplaces. People who cannot put on or remove a mask on their own are exempt.
- We will enforce the mandatory mask policy with all visitors to our office
- A customer can be refused entry or service if they do not wear a mask
New to UVic and require a card?
- For all new cards, it is mandatory to submit your selfie online. If you are requiring assistance with submitting online please email us at: onecard@uvic.ca
- You’ll need to book an appointment onvce your selfie is approved
Returning to UVic and require a replacement card?
Lost your card?
- Please book an appointment to get a new one.
Returning Students:
- Please return to UVic with your ONECard.
- If you are paying the bus pass fee within your tuition, please activate your bus pass at any of our 3 kiosks.
- If you are not paying the bus pass fee within your tuition, you might be eligible to purchase one. Please contact either the University Student Society or the Graduate Student Society.
- If you require a new card, please book an appointment online
Bus Pass Information:
All online, co-op & distance education courses are not charged a U-Pass (bus pass) fee in tuition. In order to purchase a bus pass, please contact either UVSS Undergraduate Students' Society or GSS Graduate Student Society.

- Please book an appointment and we will be happy to troubleshoot this issue for you.
When the ONECard office is not open, how do I load funds to my account?
There are several ways to deposit funds onto your ONECard:
- Online, by logging into your account through MyPage Online.
- By gifting funds through our homepage.
- At any University Food Services point of sale.
I lost my card, how do I freeze my account?
- Freeze your ONECard funds online.
- If you find your current card, you can reactivate it by contacting our office via e-mail requesting your account to be un-frozen. Please use your preferred e-mail, provide your name, V# and attach a piece of Gov't issued photo ID.
I live out of town, do I need a ONECard?
- If you live outside of Victoria, you do not require a card for any on-line studying. You can login to UVic using your netlink ID & password for all of your library and coursework needs. Please feel free to e-mail us if you would like more details.
- Upon arrival to the Jamie Cassels Centre - please do not enter if:
-
- you are showing illness symptoms similar to those of the flu or common cold: fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, stuffy/runny nose
- you arrived in Canada in the last 14 days
- have been in close contact of a confirmed case or outbreak of COVID19
- Please sanitize your hands when entering the building.
- Stay within the areas provided for social distancing, respect to see arrows and signage.
- Physical distancing measures are in place throughout the Jamie Cassels Centre which is where our ONECard office is located.
- Arrive for your appointment on time.
- Wear a mask.
