Student International Activities Fund

The Student International Activities Fund (SIAF) supports full-time UVic undergraduate and graduate students participating in international activities. Eligible activities include but are not limited to: study abroad and exchange programs organized by UVic, international internships, co-op placements, and practicums; field schools; and volunteer programs.  Awards of $1,000 (undergraduate students) and $5,000 (graduate) available for activities in Asia and Australia/NZ. Beach Social this Thursday!

Join us this Thursday, May 18th from 2:00 - 5:00pm at the beach to play games, enjoy some snacks, and make friends! Connect with new international students, Global Community volunteers, and campus partners to start off your summer in Victoria. A volunteer will meet you at UVic and together with a group you will walk down to Cadboro Bay Beach. We look forward to seeing you there! Click here to RSVP for this event.

Mini Golf with the Global Community

Join the Global Community for a summer afternoon of mini golf on Thursday, June 8th from 2-5:30pm! No prior golf or mini golf experience is required. We will be going to Blenkinsop Adventure Mini Golf, and you are welcome to travel there with us or meet us there! If you are taking the bus with us, please meet us by the bus loop in front of the bookstore (please bring your ONECard or $5.00 for bus fare.) CBIE Learning Abroad Survey

Attention students & alumni: share your learning abroad experiences & feedback in the CBIE Learning Abroad Survey and help shape the future of international education! Students who complete the survey can be entered into a draw for a $1000 prize from CBIE and 2 - $100 prizes from UVic!!

National AccessAbility Week 

National AccessAbility week in Canada is taking place from May 28 to June 3, 2023. 'This week is an opportunity to celebrate the valuable contributions and leadership of Canadians with disabilities, highlight the work of people, organizations and communities that are removing barriers, and to reflect on ongoing efforts to become a better, more accessible, more invclusive Canada.' At UVic, The International Mobility Access Grant (IMAG) was established to work towards reducing barriers for Indigenous students, students with a disability and low-income students to access and participate in UVic’s international outbound mobility programs and strengthen their global skills. WACE Global Challenge Program 2023

Want to gain real-world experience while expanding your global professional network? WACE is A 4-week virtual program where multi-disciplinary cross-cultural student teams from around the world work collaboratively to solve a real industry challenge for an industry or community client (startup, NGO, or corporate)! The program runs from July 3 to 28, 2023, and the application deadline is June 1, 2023. Submit your WACE application today!
