Our people
Media Studies is an interdisciplinary program with over 50 members from UVic Libraries and 18 departments and programs across the Faculties of Humanities, Fine Arts and Social Sciences. The program also houses a research lab called the Praxis Studio.
Jentery Sayers is the Acting Director of Media Studies, and he works with Katie Croudy in our program's general office to administer the Media Studies certificate.
Program committee (2023-24)
Our program committee reviews our curriculum and the courses we offer. A librarian, a Media Studies staff member, an undergraduate student, two community representatives and faculty members in the Humanities, Fine Arts and Social Sciences serve on the committee each year.
