Dr. Yekelchyk’s research interests focus on Modern Ukraine, including this nation’s historical relations with Russia and Europe. He has co-edited a collection of articles entitled Europe’s Last Frontier: Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine between Russia and the European Union (2008). His current research project examines the historical roots and cultural symbolism of the EuroMaidan Revolution in Ukraine (2013–14).
