Caro is a MA student from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, developing research on Franz Kafka with Dr. Peter Gölz and Dr. Matthew Pollard.

She completed a BA in Portuguese Language and Literature in Brazil, and it was through her undergraduate program that she discovered a passion for Germanic studies, resulting in a comparative project on Bertolt Brecht and Robert Walser through Walter Benjamin’s theoretical approach.

When she is not talking about Kafka or Nietzsche, Caro is meeting up with the fabulous graduate student cohort, passing by the department for spontaneous conversations in the hallway (highly recommended) or working as an Intellectual Property Legal Assistant.
