Professor Jeffrey Ravel is a specialist of French Theatre History of the Early Modern Period and is particularly interested by the audience, the behavior of the public, and digital humanities practices. He is the founder of the Comédie-Française Registers Project which created research tools for the daily archives of  the Comédie-Française from 1680 to 1793. Jeffrey Ravel’s  research focuses on the history of crimes and fraudulent practices (old games) as well.
