Brin O'Hare

Brin works as part of a small team developing and implementing programs, events and exhibitions which allow the public to engage with diverse art forms. The Victoria Arts Council provides artists with opportunities to further their growth and widen their audience.

As a graduate student at UVic, I gained the theoretical basis needed to critically analyse art and contemporary artistic practice, something I rely on daily while working in the arts and culture sector. Through student work placements, particularly a research assistantship with Dr. Carolyn Butler Palmer, I also gained practical experience in curation, exhibition administration and event management, which was of crucial importance to obtaining employment in my field after graduation.
