Faces of UVic Research: Helen Raptis
Dr. Helen Raptis studies the history of education and is a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Victoria. In this video she discusses her work on minority learners in the education system, specifically her work on First Nations learners between 1930s and 1970s, and the modern graduation rate of First Nations learners. She explains the importance of the past, in our understanding and the creation of future policy in regards to education.
