Seeking fresh talent? At UVic's Hi-Tech Co-op and Career Fair, you can showcase your organization on campus and meet hundreds of engineering and computer science students who are currently in the co-op program or approaching graduation.

Exhibitor package options

One-day exhibitor package: $800 + tax

  • 8' x 8' draped trade show booth, 2' x 5' table and two chairs
  • Online promotion on the event website and a link to your organization’s website
  • Complimentary electricity hook-up, bulletin boards by request, and internet access (you must bring a computer or laptop with a wireless network adapter and make sure your computer has all the software you’ll need at the event; on the day of the event, our technicians may ask for your passwords to re-configure the TCP/IP settings on your computer)
  • Coffee and tea available in the morning
  • Continental breakfast and lunch for up to two people
  • Up to two complimentary parking passes
  • Assistance with setting up and dismantling your booth
  • Assistance with arranging interviews, as required

Platinum Sponsorship: $1,700 + tax

  • Opportunity to host an information session during the week of the Hi-Tech Co-op and Career Fair

Gold Sponsorship: $1,200 + tax

Shipping your material

Shipping your material

If you would like to arrange to have your materials shipped before the event, please contact Jeffrey Martin at 250-472-5827 or martinjm@uvic.ca.

Company display materials should arrive at our Engineering and Computer Science Co-op and Career office no sooner than January 27, 2020. If you wish to have your materials returned after the fair, please label all items and include a completed waybill. You are responsible for making arrangements with the courier of your choice for pick-up after the event at this same address.

Parking and set-up

Welcome to our campus! Please ensure your booth is assembled by 10 a.m.

Upon arrival, please park in Lot A in the short-term metered parking area located in front of the Engineering Lab Wing (see map), unload your displays and get instructions for the parking code for long-term parking in Lot 1.

Next, please proceed into the Engineering Lab Wing Lobby for check-in.

Enjoy the fair! Please ensure your booth is only disassembled after the event ends at 3 p.m. Volunteers will be available to assist you throughout the day and with dismantling of your booth.

Getting to UVic

Driving from Vancouver?

Take the Swartz Bay ferry from Tsawwassen ferry terminal. The sailing takes 1 hr 35 minutes, plus 15 minutes offloading time. As you exit the ferry, you will be on the Patricia Bay Highway #17 south.

After approximately 25 minutes, take the McKenzie Avenue exit. Turn left onto McKenzie Avenue and continue for 7 km. Turn right onto McGill Road, at the main UVic entrance, just in front of Centennial Stadium.

Coming from Victoria International Airport?

Victoria International Airport is located off Highway 17, about 30-40 minutes north of the university. When driving from the airport, follow the signs to Victoria; they will lead you south onto Highway 17.

After approximately 25 minutes on Highway 17, take the McKenzie Avenue exit. Turn left onto McKenzie Avenue and continue for 7 km. Turn right onto McGill Road, at the main UVic entrance, just in front of Centennial Stadium.

Exhibitor cancellation policy

  • Exhibitors must provide notice of their cancellation by email to martinjm@uvic.ca or by phone to 250-472-5827.
  • Cancellations made up to and including January 6, 2020 will receive a 100% refund, minus a $50 administration fee.
  • Cancellations made between January 7 and January 15, 2020 (inclusive) will receive a 50% refund minus a $50 administration fee.
  • Cancellations or other registration changes made on or after January 16, 2020 will not receive a refund.
  • Refunds will not be granted for last-minute cancellations due to inclement weather.

Note on registration

UVic Co-op and Career reserves the right to decline exhibitor registration requests from employer organizations that our office deems unsuitable for our students.
