CUPE 951 bargaining

Approximately 1,120 people (674 FTE) are represented by CUPE 951 in a variety of roles, including office and administrative-support staff, library assistants, technicians and childcare workers.

The current collective agreement with CUPE 951 expired on March 31, 2025; however, the terms and conditions continue in force until the parties renegotiate the agreement in accordance with the provincial 2025 Balanced Measures Mandate.

The parties began collective bargaining under the 2025 Balance Measures collective bargaining mandate on December 11 and 12, 2025. Further meetings on January 22, 2026 and February 11, 2026 have been scheduled to continue discussions.
