CUPE 951 bargaining

Following six months of negotiations, a tentative collective agreement has been reached between the University of Victoria and CUPE 951. The tentative agreement, based on the Province’s 2025 Balanced Measures Mandate, will be in effect April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2029. It is subject to ratification by the union and its members, and by the university’s Board of Governors.
Approximately 1,120 people (674 FTE) are represented by CUPE 951 in a variety of roles, including office and administrative support staff, library assistants, technicians and childcare workers.
More details will be available once the agreement is ratified by the bargaining unit and the Board of Governors.
