CUPE 4163 (Component 3) bargaining

On May 20, 2026, the University of Victoria and Component 3 of CUPE 4163 reached a tentative collective agreement under the BC government’s 2025 Balanced Measures Mandate between. Component 3 represents 725 sessional instructors and music performance instructors over the course of an academic year.

The tentative agreement, which will be in effect May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2029, is subject to ratification by the union and its members, and by the university’s Board of Governors.

More details will be available once the agreement is ratified by the bargaining unit and the Board of Governors.
