CUPE 951 bargaining

On June 10, 2026, a tentative collective agreement was reached between the University of Victoria and CUPE 951. The tentative agreement, based on the Province’s 2025 Balanced Measures Mandate, will be in effect April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2029 and was ratified by the union and its members on June 29, and by the university’s Board of Governors on July 10.

Approximately 1,120 people (674 FTE) are represented by CUPE 951 in a variety of roles, including office and administrative support staff, library assistants, technicians and childcare workers.
