Annual Staff Training

As part of the university's ongoing commitment to increase privacy, records management and information security awareness, all staff with access to personal information through systems such as Banner and FAST are expected to complete self-paced online privacy, records management and information security training on an annual basis.

Who should take the training? The training is mandatory for all staff with access to personal information in Banner, Fast, Raiser’s edge, Continuing Studies information system and the One Card system. However, we encourage anyone who is interested to participate in the training.

What information does the training provide? The training provides an overview of privacy, records management, and personal information security at UVic. It has been developed by the Chief Privacy Officer, the University Archives’ records management program, and University Systems, in collaboration with Human Resources and Technology Integrated Learning.

When is the training? The 2018 training program ran from June 25 to September 17, 2018 and is now closed. The archived version of this training is available via the button below (please note that the archived version does not track completion nor provide a certificate).

New modules are developed each year. The 2019 Annual Online Privacy Training will be available in June 2019!
