Faculty and Librarian Collective Agreement
The Second Collective Agreement between the Faculty Association and the University came into force on July 1, 2019. It expires on June 30, 2022.
The Collective Agreement and any Letters of Understanding form the contract of employment between the University and the members of the bargaining unit represented by the Faculty Association. The bargaining unit includes all regular Teaching and Research Stream faculty members; limited-term faculty members with appointments greater than one year; and professional librarians, both regular and limited-term. The Faculty Association is a certified trade union under the BC Labour Relations Code.
The Collective Agreement is primarily administered for the University by the Office of Faculty Relations and Academic Administration, a unit that operates within the office of and reports to the Vice-President Academic and Provost. Faculty and Librarians with questions on the operation of the Collective Agreement should direct them initially to their Chair's office/Dean's office.
