Bruce Ravelli is a Teaching Professor in the Department of Sociology, University of Victoria. He is an award-winning sociologist with a passion for teaching. He has published articles and book chapters on Canadian culture, cross-national value differences, students’ anonymous evaluation of teaching and student experiences in Community-Engaged Learning courses, and is co-author of one of the best-selling Sociology textbooks in Canada. An active member of the university he has held several positions including Director, Office of Interdisciplinary Academic Programs, Acting Chair Department of Sociology, Undergraduate Advisor, and member of the Faculty Association’s Negotiating Team. He has also served on the Boards of various profession associations and not for profit societies and is committed to promoting transparent leadership at the University.
