COWCUBS Conference 2026

The University of Victoria is pleased to let you know that we are busy planning the 2026 COWCUBS conference. We encourage you to save the date for this year’s event scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026 to Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

This year's topic:

Governance in Times of Challenge and Change

COWCUBS 2026 brings together governance professionals from universities across Western Canada to explore the future of higher education governance. Participants will examine evolving governance models, student engagement challenges and opportunities, leadership development and transition, crisis oversight, equity and inclusion, and the emerging issues shaping post-secondary institutions. The conference offers a collaborative space to share experiences, strengthen professional networks, and explore effective governance practices in an increasingly complex environment.
