More Information about the Application Process

How are applications assessed?

Whether it’s submitted on the first day or the final deadline, all applications are assessed on equal grounds, in relation to other applications received. No one is deemed ineligible based on income, education or other factors. In other words, no single element leads to someone being accepted or declined; we try to look at the whole picture.

Our goal is to provide a learning space for people who face multiple and/or significant barriers to post-secondary education. Those with lower incomes and fewer opportunities for post-secondary education will be admitted on a priority basis.

Applications are assessed by the University 101 Application Committee which is composed of members of the Uni 101 community, including staff, faculty, and student volunteers.
