Registration 101

Registration 101 (Reg 101) is a series of program-planning and course-registration events to help newly admitted UVic undergraduate students prepare for their first year. These sessions walk you through what to expect before you register, how to plan your courses, and where to find support as you get ready to start at UVic.

Registration 101 events will run between May and June 2026.

Who is Registration 101 for?

Registration 101 is for students who have been admitted to an undergraduate program at UVic for September 2026, including:

  • Canadian high school students
  • Canadian transfer students
  • International students

Each audience has tailored sessions focused on their specific next steps.

What you’ll learn in Registration 101

Depending on the session you attend, you’ll learn about:

  • Program and academic planning for your first year
  • Understanding degree requirements and choosing courses
  • How and when to register for classes
  • Key services that support your transition to UVic.

How to access Registration 101

If you have received an offer of admission to UVic, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to register for the Registration 101 sessions available to you.
