Bachelor of Professional Communications

As an Academic Administrative Officer, Jack works closely with the Director, Graduate Secretary, and faculty members to support the effective operation of IGOV academic programs. Their work includes academic administration, policy drafting and navigation, calendar and program coordination, financial oversight, human resources processes, and communications support.

Jack Pawlyna is a proud member of the Métis Nation, with ancestral ties to the Bellerose and Beaudry families. Raised on Treaty Six Territory and the Métis Nation Homeland in Alberta, Jack holds a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Communications from MacEwan University and a diploma in Radio Broadcasting from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. This background in communication and storytelling continues to shape their approach to both professional and creative work.

Recognized by the Canada Council for the Arts as a cultural carrier, Jack’s artistic practice in beadwork and textile arts focuses on advancing Indigenous representation, supporting cultural resurgence, and fostering meaningful relationships.
