Clubs & course unions

As a student, it’s important to find a balance between schoolwork and hobbies that allow you to have fun, relax, try new things and connect with friends. Joining clubs or course unions is a great way to meet peers and get involved in the co-curricular life at UVic.

Course Unions

There are over 40 course unions that represent UVic academic departments. Course unions are run by students who plan academic events and social activities related to their department’s field of study. Getting involved in a course union can be a great way to meet, form study groups and connect with other students in your program!

Student Clubs

The University of Victoria Student Society has over 200 different student-led clubs to suit your interests. Members of these clubs are actively engaged in a diverse range of activities including volunteering, academic and professional development, social and leisure activities, and more.

Vikes Recreation also offers a number of recreation and sports clubs you can join to stay active and have fun with peers.
