Post-doctoral position in applied topology, climate modeling, ergodic theory, PDEs

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a post-doctoral position in one of the following areas:

Applied Topology (an interest in Persistent Homology is preferred)

Climate Modeling

Ergodic Theory (Theoretical or Applied)

PDEs, including fluids and dispersive equations

The initial term is 12 months, with a start date between 1 Feb. 2017 and 1 Sept. 2017; extension to a second year is anticipated, subject to satisfactory performance.  The position will pay $50000 Canadian dollars per year.  Recipients will be expected to participate in the research life of the department, and to teach two courses per year.

To apply, submit your application to MathJobs, by 15 Jan. 2017.  Applicants should include an AMS Cover Letter, CV, Research Statement with publication list, and at least three reference letters (to be uploaded directly to MathJobs by the referees).  It would be helpful if one of the letters addressed the candidate's teaching experience.
