Carolyn Tsao and Lucy Gao win prizes at the 2014 Science Honours Fest.

The Faculty of Science hosted its annual Honours Fest in the Bob Wright lobby on February 28. The format was a poster session, which provided honours students an opportunity to gain experience presenting their research in a conference style setting to a broad group of students and faculty in the Faculty of Science.

A panel of faculty adjudicated the posters, and the following prizes were awarded:

- 1st prize: $2,000; 2nd and 3rd prize: $1,000

- Top presentation for each Department/School: 1 year membership in a professional organization.

Our very own, Carolyn Tsao (supervised by Mary Lesperance) won the SECOND PRIZE and Lucy Gao (supervised by Julie Zhou) won the TOP presentation in Mathematics & Statistics.
