Salimah Ismail wins 2012 SSC award

At the 2012 Statistical Society of Canada (SSC) annual meeting, Salimah Ismail received this year's SSC award for best research presentation made by a graduate student. The award, which consists of a certificate and a $500 cash prize, recognizes Salimah for her contributed talk "A Skew-t Space-Varying Regression Model for the Spectral Analysis of Resting State Brain Activity".

The talk is based on a paper with the same name that has recently been published in the journal Statistical Methods in Medical Research, where Salimah is first author:
