Research Statement

Our research interests include versatile design, synthesis and potential applications of organic molecules with unique physical, electronic properties. Specifically, organic molecules that possess interesting electron-spin, open-shell, and electrochemical characteristics to study how these properties can influence organic device performance.

Erin's group is interested in organic synthesis, and developing a fundamental understanding of physical organic processes, including photochemistry. Erin has taught advanced aromatic organic chemistry courses (Master Level), and will be teaching Spectroscopy related course at UVic.
