Position available - Data Journalist

UVic's Substance drug checking project brings together a team of chemists, social workers, and computer scientists that aim to enhance technological innovation in harm reduction. Using a suite of chemical analytical instruments, our goal is to provide information on the full composition and potency of illicit drugs to help people who use drugs make informed choices. Current initiatives include developing new drug checking hardware alongside software and algorithms for analysis and reporting.

We are specifically looking for someone to take over the data reporting, and to expand the scope and reach of the reports. Examples of previous reports may be viewed on the project website: https://substance.uvic.ca. This is a full-time grant-funded position, renewable after 1 year subject to the availability of funding.
