Johann Strauss Foundation Scholarship*
Two or more scholarships of at least $3,000 each are awarded to assist undergraduate or graduate students registered in the School of Music to study music in Austria. At least one of the annual scholarships must be for study at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and must provide documentation demonstrating the applicant's registration at an acceptable institution. An audition is required. Graduating students are also eligible for this award. Details of criteria and application forms are available at the School of Music. Applications must be submitted to the School of Music by January 10 for studies in Austria in the following academic year.
In the case of an undergraduate student, selection of the recipient will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon recommendation of the School of Music. In the case of a graduate student, selection will be made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon the recommendation of the School of Music.

Eligibility
In-Course scholarships, awards, medals and prizes are offered to undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 12.0 units for credit, of which 10.5 units are graded using the standard nine point scale, in two of the three terms of study in the previous academic year (May to April). In-course scholarships, awards and prizes are awarded in the subsequent winter session (September to April).

Applications must be submitted to the School of Music by January 10th of the academic year of the proposed studying Austria.

To accept your scholarship offer:
- Have a NetLink ID
- Go to www.uvic.ca and sign into your UVic Online tools account using your NetLink ID
- Select "Student Services" on the top menu
- Select "Awards and financial aid" under "Finances"
- Select "View My Student Aid"
- Enter the Aid Year and Aid Period
- Select "Accept" on the scholarship(s) you have been offered
