Jean Tutcho Indigenous Undergraduate Award in Visual Arts*
One or more awards are given to First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit entering, continuing or transferring undergraduate students in the Department of Visual Arts. Preference will be given to students in the following order:
1. students who have experience working with wood material in an Indigenous context (for example carving, construction or expanded material examinations),
2. students from Northwest Territories,
3. entering students.
Approval of the recipients will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Department of Visual Arts.
Applicants, candidates or nominees for this award who have indicated they are First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit are required to demonstrate their eligibility for Indigenous-specific First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit awards in alignment with the Indigenous Citizenship Declaration (ICD) Policy (GV0810).

Eligibility
Except where the terms and conditions of an athletic award, award, scholarship or prize specifically state otherwise, Varsity award winners must normally have passed a minimum of 9.0 units in the preceding academic year with a minimum sessional GPA of 3.0; if the terms of the award or scholarship are for non-varsity student-athletes, regular scholarship regulations apply, and students must have completed a minimum of 12 units in two terms in the previous academic year.
How to apply
Application-required scholarships and awards require students to submit either a paper or online application as well as supporting documentation. In order to apply for scholarships offered online, students must complete the in-course scholarship application, available through Online tools. The online application for students currently attending is open April 1-May 31. Any supporting documentation required for the online application must be submitted by email to incourse@uvic.ca by May 31.How to accept

- Have a NetLink ID
- Go to www.uvic.ca and sign into your UVic Online tools account using your NetLink ID
- Select "Student Services" on the top menu
- Select "Awards and financial aid" under "Finances"
- Select "View My Student Aid"
- Enter the Aid Year and Aid Period
- Select "Accept" on the scholarship(s) you have been offered
