G. Allan Higenbottam Prize in Legal and legislative Drafting*

The prize is awarded to the student in the Faculty of Law who, in the opinion of the Faculty, has demonstrated excellence in legal and legislative drafting in an upper year course. The prize has been established to commemorate the memory of the late G. Allan Higenbottam, former Legislative Counsel of the Province of B.C. The endowment for the prize has been provided by the family of the late G. Allan Higenbottam. Approval of the recipient will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Faculty of Law. This prize may be awarded to a graduating

Eligibility

In-Course scholarships, awards, medals and prizes are offered to undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 12.0 units for credit, of which 10.5 units are graded using the standard nine point scale, in two of the three terms of study in the previous academic year (May to April). In-course scholarships, awards and prizes are awarded in the subsequent winter session (September to April).

To accept your scholarship offer:

  1. Have a NetLink ID
  2. Go to www.uvic.ca and sign into your UVic Online tools account using your NetLink ID
  3. Select "Student Services" on the top menu
  4. Select "Awards and financial aid" under "Finances"
  5. Select "View My Student Aid"
  6. Enter the Aid Year and Aid Period
  7. Select "Accept" on the scholarship(s) you have been offered
