Ann Roberts Humanitarian Award

An award is made to a Faculty of Law student who is in their second or subsequent year of studies. The award recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution of his or her time and effort in lending support and assistance to the well being of individuals within the Law School, of the Law School as a whole and or of people within the community at large.

Nomination forms are available from and must be submitted to the Law School by January 31. The award is made on recommendation of the Faculty of Law in consultation with the Law School´s Selection Committee.

Approval of the recipient will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Faculty of Law.

Eligibility

In-Course scholarships, awards, medals and prizes are offered to undergraduate students who have completed a minimum of 12.0 units for credit, of which 10.5 units are graded using the standard nine point scale, in two of the three terms of study in the previous academic year (May to April). In-course scholarships, awards and prizes are awarded in the subsequent winter session (September to April).

Nomination forms are available from and must be submitted to the Law School by January 31.

How to accept

To accept your scholarship offer:

  1. Have a NetLink ID
  2. Go to www.uvic.ca and sign into your UVic Online tools account using your NetLink ID
  3. Select "Student Services" on the top menu
  4. Select "Awards and financial aid" under "Finances"
  5. Select "View My Student Aid"
  6. Enter the Aid Year and Aid Period
  7. Select "Accept" on the scholarship(s) you have been offered
