Margaret E. Ableson Award

One or more awards are given to undergraduate students entering or continuing in either the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, or the Bachelor of Education program who have demonstrated financial need. Nursing students registered in at least 4.50 academic units per term are eligible for this award. Education students must have an interest in science and environmental education. The award is given on a rotating basis, beginning with Nursing. Approval of the recipients will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the School of Nursing or the Faculty of Education.

How to accept

To accept your scholarship offer:

  1. Have a NetLink ID
  2. Go to www.uvic.ca and sign into your UVic Online tools account using your NetLink ID
  3. Select "Student Services" on the top menu
  4. Select "Awards and financial aid" under "Finances"
  5. Select "View My Student Aid"
  6. Enter the Aid Year and Aid Period
  7. Select "Accept" on the scholarship(s) you have been offered
