Gladys Pearson Indigenous Student Scholarship
One scholarship of $10,000 is awarded to an academically outstanding First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit transferring or continuing undergraduate student in the Faculty of Education. Preference will be given to students entering third or fourth year. Further preference will be given to a student conducting research related to community engagement, community development and/or social innovation. Approval of the recipient will be made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Faculty of Education.
Applicants, candidates or nominees for this award who have indicated they are First Nations, Métis and/or Inuit are required to demonstrate their eligibility for Indigenous-specific awards in alignment with the Indigenous Citizenship Declaration (ICD) Policy (GV0810).

How to accept
To accept your scholarship offer:
- Have a NetLink ID
- Go to www.uvic.ca and sign into your UVic Online tools account using your NetLink ID
- Select "Student Services" on the top menu
- Select "Awards and financial aid" under "Finances"
- Select "View My Student Aid"
- Enter the Aid Year and Aid Period
- Select "Accept" on the scholarship(s) you have been offered
