The George W. Nelms Memorial Scholarship*

A scholarship is awarded to a student with high academic standing who is entering the University of Victoria directly from a secondary school or college in Northern British Columbia or the Peace River district of Alberta and intends to pursue a degree in a program offered in the Faculty of Science. The assessment of secondary school applicants will be based on secondary school performance. The assessment of college applicants will be based on college course results.

How to accept

To accept your scholarship offer:

  1. Have a NetLink ID
  2. Go to www.uvic.ca and sign into your UVic Online tools account using your NetLink ID
  3. Select "Student Services" on the top menu
  4. Select "Awards and financial aid" under "Finances"
  5. Select "View My Student Aid"
  6. Enter the Aid Year and Aid Period
  7. Select "Accept" on the scholarship(s) you have been offered
